The Challenge

Generate interest in and customers for the Downtown Alliance's annual Downtown For Dinner Event, which features special prix fixe meals at many of Lower Manhattan's finest restaurants.

The Solution

Convince celebrity chef and multi-media superstar Rachael Ray to be the special guest at the press conference announcing the start of Downtown for Dinner Week.

The press conference featured a ceremonial re-naming of Lower Broadway - New York City's Canyon of Heroes - to "Rachael Ray Way".

The Result

Widespread media coverage of the press conference and the start of Downtown for Dinner Week led to the event's best-ever sales volume.

Research and write concise, informative fact sheets that highlight how the New York City Economic Development Corporation has assisted companies, created jobs and completed major development projects.

The Result

Numerous two-page "case studies" that are now being used in a variety of ways (including Powerpoint presentations) by the corporation's marketing department and other officials.
